Maureen Wroblewitz Wins Casting Video Challenge of Miss Universe Philippines 2021
MAUREEN WROBLEWITZ – Kapamilya star Maureen Wroblewitz won Miss Universe Philippines’ casting video challenge.
Kapamilya actress and model Maureen Wroblewitz was the winner of Asia’s Next Top Model season 5. She entered the entertainment industry after winning the modeling contest.
Maureen ventured into hosting Kapuso network’s noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga.’ Months after that stint, she left the show to pursue ‘dreams’ and commit to projects.
Last June, Maureen Wroblewitz signed a contract with ABS-CBN talent management firm. In a previous article, she said she’s open to the possibility of working with Fil-Am actress Liza Soberano.
On July 19, the 23-year-old actress was announced as one of the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 candidates. Aside from her, Kapuso actress Kisses Delavin is also one of the delegates of the local competition.
In her previous interview, Maureen somehow denied joining MUP by saying that she wanted to be ready when she would decide to join. In her recent IG post, she apologized for this.
She said, “Surprise! I apologize for the white lies. As difficult as it was, I had to keep this a secret.”

On Saturday, August 21, Miss Universe Philippines 2021 announced that Maureen Wroblewitz bested 74 other candidates in the pageant’s video casting challenge. The delegates wore minimal makeup to highlight their natural beauty from different angles. They also shared what makes them happy.
In her video, she was all smiles when she said, “My cats make me happy and ice cream.”

Behind Maureen Wroblewitz, was Miss Globe 2019 second runner-up Leren Mae Bautista, Cebu province’s Steffi Rose Aberasturi, and ex-PBB housemate Kisses Delavin. Tiktok star Ayn Bernos, Noelyn Rose Campos, Maria Corazon Abalos, Kamille Alyssa Quiñolam and Cheri Flejoles also made it to the top 10.
MUP is set to announce the top 50 ladies who will advance to the next round. Only 30 candidates will compete on the coronation night. The winner will succeed in reigning Miss Universe PH 2020 Rabiya Mateo to compete in the Miss Universe pageant in December.
