MAUREEN WROBLEWITZ – Another Filipina has given pride to the Philippines as she was crowned as Asia’s Next Top Model.

One of the most prominent international shows is the Asia’s Next Top Model. Lots of people from different races have been hooked by this popular show.

Based on a report in ABS-CBN, on its season five, it was a Filipina contestant who was hailed as the Asia’s Next Top Model. Pinay Maureen Wroblewitz dazed everyone as she conquered her insecurities and went out even more captivating.

#OnlyLoveNoHate ? Clara’s perspective: when you see your crush talking to another girl so you try to join their conversation but you realize that you’re just interrupting them and your crush isn’t really interested in you ?? I’m sorry @clarasutantio ? I asked for permission though hahaha #AsNTM #AsNTM5 #TeamMaureen #TeamClara • Guys, please don’t hate on the other girls for confronting me. It’s their opinion and I’ll choose to respect it, even if I may not agree to it. At the end of the day, it’s still a competition. And like Tu said in her last post, sometimes we have to set our friendships aside, especially now that we’re Top 6. Only one girl can win and we’re all competing for that one spot. Now my job is to prove them wrong and that I do deserve to stay. I’m cool with all three of them outside of the competition and they’re all amazing models so please don’t hate. Always remember #OnlyLoveNoHate ?

According to the report, Maureen, who was standing 5’6, is not so confident with her height and takes it as insufficient. However, she did not allow it to stop her from achieving far greater things.

On Wednesday, with Maureen’s winning as the Asia’s Next Top Model, the Philippines rejoiced as she is the first Filipina who landed on the topmost spot during the search’s finale.

Based on the report, the 18-year-old Maureen Wroblewitz became emotional upon hearing that she won the popular show. In the finals, she was faced with Minh Tu Nguyen of Vietnam and Shikin Gomez of Malaysia.

The Pinay winner was actually youngest contestant in the popular show’s season 5. She dedicated her success to her late mother who passed away when she was eleven years old.

One of the judges of the Asia’s Next Top Model, Cindy Bishop, expressed that the image of Maureen is “exactly” what she wanted to see from her in the finale of the show according to the report.

Maureen stunned the judges and the spectators as she wore a white mestiza gown accentuated with pearls when they were asked to wear something that represents their country.

Here are some of Maureen’s stunning shots during her Asia’s Next Top Model journey:

I still can’t believe I’m saying this… but I’m Asia’s Next Topmodel! It feels like a dream and I don’t know when I’ll ever realize that all this has happened to me. This has been such a crazy journey but definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience I’ll never forget about. Before I entered the competition, I already doubted myself. I never even thought I would make it into the competition at all. But look at me now! ? I’ve learned so many new things. I’ve learned about different cultures, languages. I’ve learned about modeling. But I’ve mostly learned a lot about myself. I am stronger than I thought I was and I really don’t give up! I was constantly called ‘a pretty face with no skills’. But little did they know, it would just make me come out stronger and better. It became a perfect motivation for me to prove them wrong and to show them that being inexperienced doesn’t mean you’re a weak model. There were times where I felt like giving up, but I knew that it couldn’t be an option. I was the last Filipina standing and a Filipina has never won before. I wanted to win this for my country – the Philippines and I’m so happy to say that I did. This is all for you guys! We won this together ❤?? This experience has made me grow so much as a model and as a person and I’m so thankful for everyone involved. The support I’ve gotten from all of you is insane! I’ve never expected so many people to support me, a weird, clumsy aspiring model ? but I’m so grateful for it. Thank you all so much! I love every single one of you ❤ I hope I inspire everyone to do the same thing I did. To follow your dreams and to not let anyone bring you down. Do what you love to do! It’s true! You’re capable of doing anything, if you just go out and try! So work hard, it’ll pay off. ❤❤❤ Thank you @asntm @starworld_asia for this opportunity!! #AsNTM #AsNTM5 #TeamMaureen #TeamPhilippines #PhilippinesOnTop

Who would’ve thought a ‘pretty face with no skills’ would fight her way to Top 3?! Tu and Shikin have been my biggest competitors from the start and it’s crazy that I get to be in the top with them. We couldn’t be any more diverse from looks to personality. The only thing we’ve got in common now, is the determination to win! Never have I expected to come this far! This makes me even more proud of all the things I’ve achieved during the competition. There are so many things I’ve learned and experienced, and now it’s the last time I get to show it all. This week was very overwhelming for me. First, the really tough challenge, where I had to face my fear of heights in the most insane way and then the photoshoot where we had to create our own story. This is also where I decided to talk about my personal story, which wasn’t an easy thing for me to do. After everything this week, I didn’t expect to be part of the Finale. But I’m glad I am. I’m not done yet showing all I’ve got ??? #AsNTM #AsNTM5 #ExpectTheUnexpected #TeamMaureen #TeamPhilippines #PhilippinesOnTop

3rd Best Performance and Top 4?! ? I’m so close to the finale, just one more step! • I’ve learned a lot about myself throughout this competition. But the most important thing I’ve learned, is that I never give up. I’ll keep fighting no matter what and I’ll be doing this for all of you ❤ I also wanted to thank you all for the amazing support! You all mean the world to me! So many people have been telling me how proud they are of me and you have no idea how much those words mean to me. I hope I inspire every single one of you to go out there and do what you want to do. Don’t ever give up on your dreams because other people make it seem impossible! Anything is possible! You just gotta work hard always and never doubt yourself ❤❤❤ #AsNTM #AsNTM5 #TeamPhilippines #TeamMaureen #PhilippinesOnTop

WAIT WHAT?! BACK TO TOP 6?! ? At least nobody got eliminated this week and I’m happy @yshin.c got another chance ❤ I’m not really a fan of this photo but hey, I’m still in the competition and that’s what matters most. In this stage of the competition I can’t let my insecurities affect me anymore. I’ve always wanted to prove to everyone that I’m not just a ‘pretty face’ and I’ll continue to do so but at the same time I also have to embrace it. Being ‘pretty’ isn’t a bad thing! In fact it can be a great advantage. AND GUYS WE REACHED 200+K ?? THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE AMAZING SUPPORT! LOVE YOU ALL TOO MUCH ??? #AsNTM #AsNTM5 #ExpectTheUnexpected #TeamMaureen #PhilippinesOnTop #TeamPhilippines
