Former Senator Trillanes Posts About Brother’s Demise

TRILLANES – Former Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV confirmed the death of his brother, Antonio or “Tiny”.

One of the biggest opponents that the Philippines is facing now is the COVID-19 pandemic. It is shaking healthcare systems across the globe for more than a year now and the cases continue to increase in several countries.

The Philippines is one of the nations with increasing cases of the disease. Currently, Metro Manila and the province of Laguna are under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) measure in the pursuit to prevent the spread of the Delta variant, a variant of concern for its high transmissibility rate.

Sadly, there are several deaths due to COVID-19 daily. Recently, another known personality in Philippine politics lost a loved one due to the complications caused by the said coronavirus disease.

Through a social media post, former Sen. Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV confirmed the death of his brother, Antonio or “Tiny”, because of COVID-19 complications. According to the former lawmaker, his brother was 51 years old at the time of his death past midnight today, August 21, 2021.

The death of the former Senator’s brother came just around two weeks since their mother Estelita Fuentes Trillanes, passed away. She was 87 years old when she died because of advanced Parkinson’s condition.

Several netizens on Twitter expressed their sympathy and condolences to the family of the former Senator over the loss of his brother. As of this writing, there are still no further details about the death of the former Senator’s brother.

The COVID-19 pandemic is undeniably requiring an intensified fight now amid the new variants. The national government is in the pursuit of vaccinating at least 70 million people in the country at the soonest time possible for population protection.
