The beloved mother of former senator Antonio Trillanes IV has passed away at the age of 87 years old, the lawmaker confirmed.

On Friday (August 6, 2021), ex-senator Trillanes announced on his Twitter account that his mom Mrs. Estelita Fuentes Trillanes had passed away. The post garnered various reactions from the social media users.

Estelita reportedly passed away of complications due to her advanced Parkinson’s condition. The former lawmaker expressed his sadness due to the incident. The netizens have also expressed their condolences towards the family.

Trillanes is a retired Philippine navy officer who served as a senator of the Philippines from 2007 to 2019. He is known for his alleged involvement in the Oakwood mutiny of 2003 and the controversial Manila Peninsula siege in 2007.

The 50-year-old politician has been also involved in various issues and controversies. He is also known for being a staunch critic of President Duterte and the current administration.
