PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (August 21)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that most parts of the country would have a fair weather condition due to easterlies.
On Saturday (August 21, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
The easterlies would bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.
The provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino at Aurora would have similar weather condition.
Same weather condition is also expected over Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Isang has been last spotted at 725 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes. It has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
The tropical storm is expected to move northwestward or north northwestward today and would leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday afternoon or evening (August 22).
“Wala po itong direktang epekto sa ating bansa, easterlies po ang magdadala ng pag-ulan sa atin, mga isolated rain showers lamang po ang inaasahan nating pag-ulan,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.
The entire country would experience slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.
