PAGASA Says Habagat to Bring Rainy Conditions Over Northern Luzon Provinces

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring monsoon rains over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (August 5, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the habagat would bring monsoon rains over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Abra, Batanes and Babuyan Islands. Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao would cloudy weather condition.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila, Rest of Ilocos Region, Rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, Rest of Cagayan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Aurora as well as the remaining parts of the country.

PAGASA also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Luzon and Visayas would have moderate to rough coastal water conditions. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over Mindanao.
