According to a Cebu-Philippine National Police (PNP) report, the incident occurred in the vicinity around 8:57 a.m. The victim was ready to start his training when he was shot by unknown assailants, according to the inquiry.
The suspects departed in an unknown direction after the crime. The victim was transferred to the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC), but due to bullet wounds to the head and torso, the attending doctor ruled him dead.
The police inquiry into the true motive for the crime is still ongoing. Last night, a farm owner in Infanta, Quezon, was fatally shot by one of two hitmen who were apparently looking for a job on his property.
Two unnamed assailants arrived at the victim’s house around 7:40 p.m., according to Infanta Police. The suspects track down the victim and inform his wife that they would work on the couple’s farm as a mower, or “mananabas.”
When the victim emerged, however, he was met with bullets, based on the police report. The culprits escaped shortly after shooting the victim, while the victim was brought to the hospital but declared dead.
