Man Sleeping On Footbridge Shot Along EDSA, Quezon City
MAN SHOT WHILE SLEEPING – The life of a man who was collecting garbage and scraps for a living is now on critical condition.
On early Thursday morning, the victim, identified as Jose Ronillo Conde, was shot while he was sleeping on a footbridge in Edsa. According to reports from ABS-CBN, the man was a resident of Barangay Bagong Pag-asa based on the ID he had with him.
Furthermore, the victim sold scraps for a living and would usually sleep at the footbridge, especially when it rained hard during the night. But, his hard life just got harder after he was shot with the suspect still on the run.
As per the article, Jayson Garganera of the Quezon City Task Force Disiplina, said they heard a loud blast which they initially thought was a tire exploding. Luckily, the HQ was stationed near the footbridge which resulted in a fast response.
But, once they got there, residents who lived nearby reported the said shooting. Afterward, police found a bullet shell near the body of the victim, however, the suspect was still at large.
Thankfully, rescue team quickly responded to aid the victim before he was brought to the Avenue Medical Center. Currently, police are still investigating the incident.
