Did Mr. M and Bea Alonzo talk about transferring to GMA? Star builder has this statement.
BEA ALONZO – Johnny Manahan, also known as Mr. M, has this reaction over the transfer of Bea Alonzo to the Kapuso network and leaving ABS-CBN.
ABS-CBN failed to secure a franchise which resulted in the transfer of stars under them. However, the star people are not expecting to leave the network in its darkest time is A-list actress Bea Alonzo. Last July 1, she officially became a Kapuso and she is set to do the Philippine adaptation of the 2004 Korean film “A Moment to Remember” together with Alden Richards.

She’s currently having a vacation in the USA and once she returns to the country, she will accordingly and officially start working with GMA. Upon transfer, she allegedly has an alleged unfinished project with her former network but in a previous article, she denied this and said that she left it on a clean slate. She talked with ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak and said her formal goodbye.
Over a week after she transferred, it has also been confirmed that Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan, founder and former chairman emeritus of Star Magic. Being considered as a pillar in the industry and a star builder, the GMA welcomed him and he hopes he can discover a new breed of talents for the Kapuso network. And speaking about Bea’s transfer, he dispelled rumors that they talked about it.
“Katulad ni Bea, nagkataon lang na gusto niya lumipat. Hindi naman kami nag-usap,” he said as per PEP. The veteran clarified that they did not talk about transferring at the same time. As for the stars he knew who also wanted to be with GMA, he only has one piece of advice to them and that is to finish their contract first and think over things before making a decision.
