Kind Teacher Gives Laptop to Grateful Student to Continue Participation in Online Class
A grateful student becomes emotional after she received a laptop from his kind teacher as his parents become jobless due to the pandemic.
A 21-year-old student can’t help but shed a tear after his former teacher gifted him a laptop to be used for online classes. One of his siblings’ friends approached his instructor, Melanie R. Fugueroa, to seek financial assistance after his parents lost their employment because to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Melanie found when she went to Chrisken Simule’s house to offer assistance that Chrisken attends online classes using his old phone and his neighbor’s wifi. Chrisken stated he would run out of the house and borrow his classmate’s laptop whenever he had papers or tests.

Due of Chirsken’s situation, Melanie organized a fundraiser to assist her student with his studies despite the distance learning arrangement. She was able to raise P40,000 to buy Chrisken a laptop.
Chrisken had no idea there was fundraising going on, so he was taken aback when he saw the surprise. Melanie revealed that Chrisken becomes emotional as he expresses his gratitude for receiving such a generous gift that would undoubtedly assist him in completing his degree.
