Male Teacher Shares His Inspiring Story After Growing Up Inside Angeles City Jail

The inspiring story of a male teacher who grew up inside Angeles City Jail goes viral and earned praises from the netizens.

A male teacher named Paul Oliver Pili or popularly known as Pao has shared his inspiring story to inspire other people. Pao’s mom and grandma were managing a business but encountered a problem and got jailed over charges of estafa.

Pili’s mom gave him birth inside the jail and asked the police officers to let the baby stay inside her jail cell. Paul grew up inside Angeles City Jail together with his mom and grandma because he had nowhere to go.

Eventually, the jail personnel and other inmates were helping her mother to provide his basic needs such as milk, clothes and even school supplies. He persevered to go to school despite of his situation.

The relatives of other inmates served as his guardians who attends PTA meeting and other activities at school. A lot of people offered to adopt Pao but the young kid declined the offers.

Before graduating from high school, Pao’s mom and grandma have been transferred at Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong. The jail employees allowed him to stay just to finish his studies.

Inspiring Story

Eventually, Oliver finished his college course “BS Education” as a scholar at Holy Angel University with the help of jail employees, other inmates and priests. He is currently taking a master’s degree so that his newly-released mom could attend his graduation.
