MMDA Unveils New Rainfall Lay-by on EDSA for Motorists During Rainy Days
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) unveiled the new rainfall lay-by on EDSA for motorists during rainy season.
The Facebook page “Gadget Addict” has shared the photos of new rainfall lay-by on EDSA for motorcycle riders while waiting for the rain to stop. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.
MMDA Chairman Abalos unveiled the motorcycle emergency lay-by along Quezon Avenue Underneath Flyover Center Island. The infrastructure has been made as a shelter for the motorcycle riders during rainy days.
Abalos said that it was built for motorcycle rider so they could not obstruct the right of way during rainy season. He is also hoping that the vendors won’t fill the shelter like the emergency bays on C5.
The agency’s head also reminded the motorcycle rider to bring their raincoats especially during this rainy season. MMDA set rules and regulations at the lay-by to maintain the peace and order in the area.
