According to the complaint, Santelics was still wearing a PSTMO outfit when he was apprehended by Station Intelligence Section officers while accosting cars passing along P. Aquino Letre, Brgy. Tonsuya. Traffic enforcers Allan Centron and Eliseo Dizon, both of the PSTMO, approached the police for assistance after seeing the former colleague accosting vehicles in the area.
Santelics was relieved from the service two months ago, according to the two enforcers. Col. Barot has already assigned PSSgt. Mardelio Osting and PSSgt. Diego Ngippol to the matter as investigators to see if there are any extortion accusations against Santelics.
The suspect was charged with violating Article 177 of the Revised Penal Code or Usurpation of Authority or Official Functions at the inquest at the Malabon City Prosecutor’s Office.
