BACH Project Ph, or Bacolod Animal Chance and Hope, is currently investigating who is responsible for the poisoning, which is considered an act of animal cruelty. The animals’ funeral has already been planned by CARE Philippines.

“We need to educate irresponsible pet owners and also educate non-animal lovers that animal cruelty is not acceptable in any ways,” CARE organizer Ai-Ai Gamboa said.

Authorities are also investigating the situation in order to submit a complaint against those responsible for the animal poisoning. Those who can be proven to have poisoned animals will face an Animal Welfare Act violation complaint.
