PAGASA Says Dante to Bring Cloudy Skies & Rains as It Moves Outside PAR

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (June 5)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Tropical Storm Dante would bring cloudy and rainy conditions as it moves outside PAR.

On Saturday (June 5, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country, Tropical Storm Dante would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

Tropical Storm Dante has been last spotted at 285 kilometers northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness up to 80 kph.

Dante would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Batanes. The tropical cyclone may also cause flash floods or landslides during scattered moderate to at times heavy rains.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers over Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra and Benguet.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region. Mindanao would experience simillar weather condition with isolated rainshowers.

The coastal water condition over the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon would be rough to very rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the rest of the country.
