PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (June 8)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area spotted off Borongan City and ITCZ would bring cloudy and rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (June 8, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and Intertropical Convergence Zone would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the LPA has been spotted at 285 kilometers east southeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar embedded with ITCZ. The two weather system would affect Visayas and Mindanao.

The Southwest monsoon would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands.

The ITCZ would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of Visayas. The Habagat would also bring the same weather condition over the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the western section of Luzon including Kalayaan Group of Islands, and Occidental Mindoro would be moderate. The surrounding sea conditions over the rest of the country would be slight to moderate.
