Reports Say Tropical Storm Dante Causes Floods, Soil Erosions and Power Interruptions in Different Parts of the Country
The Tropical Storm Dante causes severe flooding, soil erosions and power interruptions over several of the country.
Over the past few days, Dante causes an inclement weather condition over some parts of the Philippines. The storm brings strong winds with moderate to heavy rains causing flood and landslides.
The tropical storm causes six-foot flood in Odiongan, Romblon prompting numerous residents to flee from their homes. The floods also causes damage to some tourist attraction in Nabas, Aklan and soil erosions affect rice field.
Several roads in Batangas City have been submerged in floodwaters causing inconvenience to small vehicles and motorcycles.
Around 20, 000 houses in Santa Fe, Ferrol, and Looc in Tablas Island experienced power interruptions after Dante uprooted some trees, which took down some electrical posts and cable lines.

Pakil and Sta. Maria, Laguna have also encountered brownouts due to heavy rains. The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said that some of their lines have been damaged by the storm.
In Matnog Port in Sorsogon, around 400 passengers and some vehicles have been stranded after the management has issued a no sail policy due to the threat of the weather disturbance.
