After many years, John Lloyd Cruz makes a TV comeback in GMA and Willie Revillame has this plan for him.
JOHN LLOYD CRUZ – After hiatus, A-list Kapamilya artist John Lloyd Cruz returns through GMA and Willie Revillame reveals plans for him.
Previously, actor John Lloyd Cruz was spotted with Kapuso host Willie Revillame and the game show host has made some revelations regarding his decision to leave the limelight for a while. In a previous article, he accordingly got burnt out over restless days of him just working and working has seemingly became his daily routine that he got no time for something else.
Moreover, during an interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda, he opened up that his sudden decision to leave years ago is just temporary. He never intended to stop doing his passion and craft for acting for good, he just needed rest and wanted to have nothing to regret not doing the things he wanted in the latter days of his life. And while on rest, he had his son with actress Ellen Adarna and he’s filled with nothing but happiness to have Elias Modesto in his life
As he returns to show business, he’s now under Maja Salvador’s management company – the Crown Artist Management. and for his first appearance on television after many years, he will appear as a special guest of Revillame’s 6-6 Shopee Super Mega Fiesta Special on June 6, 2021, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to be broadcasted live by GMA network.
But his appearance is accordingly just a “patikim” because Revillame has other bigger plans for him. Kuya Wil revealed that he already talked to ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak about Lloydie’s project with him and he was allowed by his home network to do it.
“Kinausap ko si Sir Carlo para ipagpaalam si John Lloyd at napakabait niya. Pinayagan niya si John Lloyd sa pinaplano namin na sitcom, kasama si Andrea Torres. Nagpapasalamat din ako kina Ma’am Annette at Atty. Felipe Gozon dahil pumayag sila na mag-guest si John Lloyd sa Shopee event sa June 6,” says the game show host as per PEP.
Willie’s Wil Production is the blocktimer producer of the said Shopee event and he personally picked Lloydie to be his guest. Also, it will co-produce the sitcom with the actor along with GMA-7 and there’s a big possibility that JLC will also co-produce. In the interesting and exciting venture, Torres will be John Lloyd’s love interest in the sitcom. As much as many people is aware, Andrea is Derek Ramsay‘s former girlfriend before Ellen who is John Lloyd’s ex and now Derek’s fiancee.
