Police Authorities Arrest 2 Suspects in Pampanga Over Alleged “Love Scam” Modus

The Airport Police Department arrested two suspects on alleged “love scam” modus in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Airport Police Chief Colonel Adrian Tecson reported that the two suspects have been arrested during an entrapment operation. The suspects reported took a total amount of P10 million from their victim.

The culprits reportedly contacted their victim via Facebook, which ends up in a relationship. The suspect would allegedly ask for money after sending a baggage contains jewelries, valuables, and other items, which is being held at Customs.

“‘Yung babae usually sasabihan ‘yung lalaki na may ipapadalang bagahe na diumano may lamang alahas, another valuables at na-hold sa Customs. Hihingi po ng pera ‘yan para mailabas ‘yung diumanong bagahe,” Tecson said.

The authority prepared the operation after receiving a lot of complaints from the victims over the past few weeks. The suspects claimed that they were just puppets who were ordered to perform the illegal act.

The accused explained that his niece who had a Nigerian husband ordered them to do the ‘Honey love’ scam. The suspects are currently detained at the Airport Police Department Headquarters.
