Motorcycle Rider Found Possessing Illegal Deadly Firearm at Checkpoint

Police manning at checkpoint arrested a motorcycle rider after they discovered a illegal deadly firearm and ammunition in his possession.

On Monday, May 17 along Sto. Rosario St., Brgy. Sto Rosario, in the city of Angeles, province of Pampang, a rider was arrested when he was caught with a gun and ammunition at a quarantine control checkpoint directed by City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) operatives led by P/Lt. Col. Karen Clark.

Ryan Leonel Pamintuan, male, married, resident of Brgy. Amsic in such area was named as the suspect by P/Col. Rommel Batangan, City Director of Angeles City PO. When the suspect’s motorcycle was waved down at their checkpoint, they asked for paperwork, according to P/Lt. Col. Clark’s article.

The suspects were found with a.45 caliber Chromed Commander Firestone pistol, a magazine, and eight bullets. When the perpetrator opened the compartment of the motorcycle in their presence, illegal items were revealed.

Without showing legal documentation for carrying a weapon, authorities arrested Pamintuan and took him to Police Station 1 of the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) for investigation. The perpetrator, who is currently in custody at the aforementioned police station, is expected to face charges under RA 10591.
