Doug Kramer Draws Online Backlash After Highlighting His Loyalty to Chesca

Doug Kramer Faces Criticism Over His Bold Statement About Never Cheating

DOUG KRAMER – What was meant to highlight loyalty and commitment instead triggered a wave of criticism for Doug Kramer, with some netizens questioning why he felt the need to share it publicly.

Former professional basketball player Doug Kramer has faced criticism from netizens after sharing a statement about remaining faithful to his wife, actress and former beauty queen Chesca Garcia-Kramer.

The issue began after a Facebook page shared a quote card highlighting Doug’s statement, “I could have cheated on my wife but chose not to.” The post also contained a lengthy message discussing the temptations he encounters and his decision to remain committed to his family.

Some social media users questioned why Doug felt the need to publicly mention that he had opportunities to cheat. One critic wrote, “Why was this something he felt the need to say? I cringed when I read this?

“So does that mean he’s (Doug) had many opportunities to cheat yet he chose not to, therefore he should be praised?

“Aba pucha kung asawa ko magsabi ng ganto, baka matunaw ako sa hiya.

“Get this man and his whole family off social media. He has such weird takes and seems like lagi silang uhaw sa attention.”

Doug responded to the criticism, saying, “I absolutely don’t care about praise from anyone, nor am I seeking validation from others opinions.

“I only care about loving and taking care of my wife, my kids, and being accountable to the Lord,” he explained.

He also acknowledged that he has been labeled by critics as “narcissist,” controlling,” and “selfish”, while admitting that he is not perfect and has flaws.

The former cager emphasized his long relationship with Chesca, saying, “Btw, you’re referring to a family man who has been happily married for 18 years this year.

“23 years loyal and faithful to Chesca.

“We have 3 beautiful, loving, hardworking, God-fearing children, yet you guys still choose to make up something negative?

“Damn if you do, damn if you dont,” he added.

Doug argued that the criticism stemmed from people focusing only on the highlighted quote instead of reading his entire message. He described this as “the toxicity of a culture that thrives on splicing quotes, taking things out of context, and bashing.”

In his original post, Doug discussed temptation, marriage, and personal responsibility. He stressed that remaining faithful is a deliberate decision and encouraged men to protect their marriages and families.

He concluded by defending his belief that men who resist temptation should be recognized, saying, “We need more leaders in our homes—men who will say,

“I choose my family every single day!” said Doug.
