Man Dies After Stab by a Hot-Headed Barangay Tanod Over Traffic Confrontation

HOT-HEADED BARANGAY TANOD – The official stab a man amid heavy traffic due to a heated confrontation in Mexico, Pampanga.

In Barangay San Patricio, Mexico City, Pampanga province, a rowdy barangay tanod stabbed a man in the middle of a vehicle traffic jam. The suspect was identified as Russel Pante, 47, married, guard of Brgy. San Patricio in the said area, according to P/Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay’s report.

Meanwhile, the victim has been identified as Eliazar Guiao, a 40-year-old married farmer from the same town. The incident occurred about 6:00 p.m. in Sitio Minangun, the said barangay, while traffic was heavy due to a long line of passing vehicles, according to the Mexico Municipal Police Station.

A misunderstanding between the suspect and the victim reportedly led to a heated confrontation and stabbing. The victim was rushed to the nearest hospital and is now recovering from his injuries.

The perpetrator was seized, handcuffed, and handed over to the Mexico MPS by the Bantay Bayan of their barangay. The perpetrator, who is currently being held in the police station’s custodial unit, is charged with frustrated murder.

Meanwhile, after a heated confrontation, a drinking session in Iloilo City turned into a killing incident when a man was stabbed by his older brother. The victim died after he was reportedly assaulted by his older brother with whom he had a quarrel. 

According to the police investigation, after attending the funeral of their cousin in Barangay Cadinglian, the two brothers got into a heated argument while drinking. According to the previous article, the victim reportedly struck his older brother, but then stabbed him in the back.
