Update on Condition of Sen. Leila de Lima Who’s Granted a 3-Day Medical Furlough
DE LIMA – The camp of Senator Leila de Lima revealed the results of the medical tests conducted on her during the 3-day medical furlough.
Two (2) courts in Muntinlupa granted detained Senator Leila de Lima a 3-day medical furlough following a physician’s check-up. It showed that she might have suffered from mild stroke. The lady senator is detained in Camp Crame since 2017.
She’s a former secretary of the Department of Justice (DOJ). During the start of her term in the House of Senate, she faced a lot of accusations that she allegedly took part in the drug trade when she was the Justice Secretary.
The Senator denied the accusations that she got payoffs from those individuals convicted in drugs. According to her, they are politically motivated against her.
It’s been around four (4) years now since the lady Senator was detained in Camp Crame. Despite her being detained, she continues to speak on the issues involving the government. She is a staunch critic of the Duterte administration.

There were several times in the past when she and President Rodrigo Roa Duterte exchanged heated arguments against each other. The public got different reactions to it.
During her 3-day medical furlough, Sen. Leila de Lima underwent several medical tests at the Manila Doctor’s Hospital. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the lady Senator also went through Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (BMRI) imaging and CT angiography.
Sen. De Lima’s camp revealed the results of her medical tests. According to the report, the Senator’s camp said that her headaches were migraines and not mild stroke. Those were due to the poor ventilation in her detention quarter.
The camp of the Senator plans to increase the ventilation in her detention quarter. There are also tests that will be conducted again on her after a week then after a month and the after six (6) months and then after a year.
