No Tapings, No Projects: Archie Alemania Opens Up About Career Blow After Rita Daniela Case
ARCHIE ALEMANIA – From regular tapings to having no projects at all, Archie Alemania revealed how dramatically his career changed following the case filed against him by Rita Daniela.
Actor Archie Alemania has admitted that his career suffered a major setback after allegations involving Kapuso actress-singer Rita Daniela became public.
Archie was charged by Rita with Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code. The case stemmed from an alleged harassment incident involving the two actors after Archie reportedly offered to take Rita home.
The controversy eventually took a toll on Archie’s professional life, with the actor revealing that work opportunities suddenly stopped following the issue.
“Would you consider na big blow sa career mo, kung bakit biglang tumamlay ang career mo pagkatapos ng isyu sa inyo ni Rita Daniela?” showbiz insider Ogie Diaz asked Archie during the latest episode of his vlog on Sunday, August 23.
“Oo naman,” Archie replied. “Siyempre naman. Simula nang mangyari ‘yon, ‘yong isyu na ‘yon, wala na akong taping. Wala na akong trabaho. So total stop lahat. Until now.”
According to Archie, the effects of the controversy continue to be felt even now. He said that a director had wanted to get him for a project on GMA Network, but concerns about his legal case reportedly prevented the opportunity from moving forward.
“May isang direktor na kumukuha sa akin sa isang network, sa GMA, at ang sabi ng direktor e ang sabi raw ng staff e may kaso pa raw ako.”
Archie also shared that he has not yet tried seeking opportunities with other television networks. For now, he is working at the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center or CICC while dealing with the continued impact of the case on his career.
In October 2025, Archie was found guilty in the case filed against him by Rita. Despite the court ruling, however, the actor has continued to maintain his innocence and insisted that he never committed the act he was accused of.
The issue remains one of the biggest challenges in Archie’s career, as he openly acknowledged that the controversy brought his showbiz work to a complete halt. From having regular tapings and acting opportunities, he said his career suddenly stopped after the allegations surfaced.
His candid admission during the interview showed how deeply the controversy affected not only his public image but also his ability to secure projects in the entertainment industry. Even as he continues working outside of acting, Archie’s statements made it clear that the consequences of the case have remained a significant part of his professional life.
