2 Cops Condemned by Muslim Community for Entering Mosque While Wearing Shoes
MARAWI, LANAO DEL SUR – The Muslim community condemned the actions of two cops who entered their sacred Mosque while wearing shoes.
Lanao del Sur Regional Police chief has issued a public apology after two police officers allegedly entered a Mosque with their shoes on. The two cops did not remove their shoes and entered the sacred building.
The Muslim netizens condemned the policemen over their alleged disrespectful action. They considered Mosque as a holy place worship and any dirty or unclean things are strictly prohibited inside the building.
Lanao del Sur Police Provincial director Col. Rex Derilo claimed that the two cops were also Muslim and entered the building for monitoring and inspection. The police officers are tasked to ensure that the health protocols are properly observed inside Mosque.
The police officers explained that they have forgot to remove their shoes for having a lot of works. Other netizens have expressed their willingness to forgive the two cops regarding the incident.
