Many people died of COVID-19 in the Philippines and many have recovered from the virus, too. Some of the latter went through a lot in fighting against the infection that many of them even had to be intubated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
PH is still on a tough fight against COVID-19 – tougher battle. Recently, a spike in the cases of the disease took place that is why the national government imposed the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) again in several areas.
The ECQ was implemented in the National Capital Region (NCR) and the provinces of Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal. Currently, these areas are under a modified ECQ.

The vaccination against COVID-19 is now ongoing. The first ones to have been vaccinated are the healthcare workers following the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) also gave the green signal on the vaccination of the COVID-19 survivors provided the conditions are abided to.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the DOH changed the memorandum that COVID-19 survivors must wait for 90 days before getting vaccinated. It was changed after an expert cited that the antibodies of a survivor drops before the 90th day.
Department of Science and Technology vaccine expert panel head Dr. Nina Gloriani said that the COVID-19 survivor may be vaccinated earlier than the 90th day if there is a full recovery assessment from the doctor. The experts also remind the survivors that they must have a clearance from the doctor and are not exhibiting symptoms anymore.
