Atom Araullo Lauds Chiara Zambrano Brave Reporting in West Philippine Sea
Former Kapamilya and now Kapuso journalist Atom Araullo lauded Chiara Zambrano for brave reporting in West Philippine Sea.
On Twitter, the former Kapamilya journalist admired the courage of ABS-CBN News Reporter Chiara Zambrano in reporting on the disputed West Philippine Sea between China and the Philippines.
“Kudos to the ABS-CBN news team led by @chiarazambranofor gathering video evidence of the dire situation in the West Philippine Sea,” Atom wrote in his post.

It will be recalled that ABS-CBN News and Kapamilya journalist Chiara trended due to her brave report during the dispute between Philippines and China in West Philippine Sea. Recently, Chinese Navy vessels armed with missiles were chasing them in the territory of the Philippines that China was forcibly seizing.
ABS-CBN reporter Chiara Zambrano and her news team came across the incident while trying to learn more about China’s movements in the disputed seas. They’re expected to be on their way to the Ayungin Shoal, where the Philippine Armed Forces detachment located.
They assumed that because of the military presence, it would be much safer there, but they were greeted by a white Chinese Coast Guard ship. The Chinese vessel approached them close prompting them to turn around and return to Palawan to avoid any potential aggression or unnecessary tension.
Despite their movements, the ship continued to chase them for an hour. They were, however, clearly inside Philippine territory.
