CHIARA ZAMBRANO – Chinese Navy deployed military sea vessels and chase down the boat carrying the ABS-CBN team and Chiara Zambrano is trending because of her brave reporting.

A Filipino civilian vessel has been reported recently chased down by the Chinese Navy deploying military sea vessels in the West Philippine Sea, Thursday. In the boat is the ABS-CBN team. The Chinese ships are armed with missiles. ABS-CBN reporter Chiara Zambrano, along with her news team encountered the incident aiming to catch an update about the movements of China in the disputed seas.

They are supposed to be on their way to the Ayungin Shoal where an Armed Forces of the Philippines detachment is located. They thought that it would be much safer there because of the military presence but a white ship of the Chinese Coast Guard welcomed them. It was accordingly heading towards them moving closer and closer which made them decide to just turn around and go back to Palawan to prevent possible aggression and unnecessary tension. However, despite their move, the ship still followed them which lasted for an hour. However, they were still clearly within the Philippine territory.

Aside from the ship, two Type 022 Houbei fast attack crafts came in as well with missile attached to each either side of the sea vessels. With this incident reported, the Palace remained their silence about it. As of March 29, there were around 258 Chinese vessels scattered in various parts of the West Philippine Sea.

With this unfortunate information being a bother to a lot of people now, netizens couldn’t help but commend Zambrano, the ABS-CBN reporter, for her bravery and for doing her job. Some people online looked up to her reporting about the enraging events in the West Philippine Sea and how strong she was when she encountered such a terrifying incident versus the Chinese that happened just recently.
