Triple Decker Truck Crashes Leaving 25 Hogs Dead & Others Injured
A triple decker truck carrying numerous hogs or livestocks got into a road accident in Barangay Katipunan, Silago, Southern Leyte.
Nowadays, road accident has been one of the most common incident happening not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. Reckless drivers are mostly involved in accidents.
However, there are some instances wherein drivers got involved into accident due to vehicle problems, which usually leads to loss of lives.
On Saturday early morning (April 10, 2021), the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Silago reported that a truck that supposed to deliver livestocks in Bulacan has involved in a road accident.
The truck came from South Cotabato with four passengers and 128 hogs. The truck driver identified as Bobong Hardeniko explained that the vehicle loses brake along the road in Barangay Imelda.
The driver said that he loses his control to the vehicle after it loses brake. The passengers suffered minor wounds and injuries while 25 hogs inside the truck died due to the unexpected incident.
Some of the hogs also suffered wounds and injuries. The residents along the area also helped the driver and its passengers to return the hogs into the truck.
