Toni Gonzaga talked about her famous character Teddie
Actress-host Toni Gonzaga made a revelation about Teddie, the character she played in the blockbuster movie Four Sisters And A Wedding.
The said movie also featured drama actresses Angel Locsin, Bea Alonzo, and Shaina Magdayao. It is a known fact that until now, this movie is still popular even in the younger generation This film also got a prequel last year the Four Sisters Before the Wedding.
Just recently, in an episode of Toni Gonzaga’s digital talk show I Feel U, she was interviewed by King of Talk Boy Abunda. One of the topics they talked about was her iconic Teddie Salazar character.
Toni revealed that she tried to turn down the role twice because she was not confident enough that she will give justice to the role.
“Dalawang beses akong nagpunta kay Tita Malou noon. I was begging off Nakiusap ako, Tita Malou di kop o ‘ata kaya Nakakahiya po, baka di kop o maibigay ang hinihingi.” she shared
She also said that at that time, her movie projects were just romantic-comedy and she was not confident that she can pull off the drama.
Toni Gonzaga added that she felt shy acting along with drama queens of ABS-CBN They are all best actresses at that time already. “Eh parang yung mga ginagawa ko nin, rom-com, rom-com So ano bang maibibigay ko.” the Pinoy Big Brother host said.
Despite she tried to tum down the role, Toni did not persuade Malou Santos and so she portrayed the character that has become iconic.
Even though she had apprehension for the said movie, Toni said that she enjoyed doing the project She also said that they did not expect that Four Sisters And A Wedding will have this effect to the movie fans until now.
