In a sauna night with Ion Perez and Ryan Bang, Vice Ganda talked about Direk Bobet leaving them in Its Showtime.
VICE GANDA – Its Showtime artists Ion Perez, Ryan Bang, and Vice Ganda talked about Direk Bobet Vidanes leaving their noontime program.
It’s Showtime is among the Kapamilya programs which stood still amid the test of the time and despite the shutdown of their network. They continued to brign laughter and entertainment to a lot of people through various platforms.
However, when the network officially stopped operating, Cristy Fermin revealed in her show that the Showtime director Direk Bobet Vidanes leaves the show. It can be recalled that he once said in the show “walang iwanan” but wa among the first one to leave.
And with this, in the recent vlog of Vice Ganda along with other Showtime personalities such as Ion Perez and Ryan Bang, they talked about this. “Nagulat, nanghihinayang, na medyo nagtatampo” says about it and did not explained further.
For Ryan, Direk leaving the show was painful and shocking to him. It is because they all considered him as their father. Although feeling bad about, he understand whatever reasons of his decision. He explained, “Siguro may pinagdadaanan din sa pera. Kasi wala naman akong totoong anak eh.”
And as for Vice, he admitted of feeling “nagtampo” and shocked for he doesn’t know anything about it. The comedian added, ” Nagulat”, “nagtaka”, “nagtanong”, offended, and “naloka” were the words he spoke as he explained the mixed emotions he felt when that happened.
In Vice’s persepective, if there’s really something that has happened, they could have done something to help each other. He even attempted to talk to him just to know the real reason why but Direk was accordingly unresponsive.
They tried to stop him but it did no good. They all miss him and they couldn’t judge him for doing it. Their director probably has something personal that pushed him to do it.

Its sad indeed that Direk Bobett is no longer with showtime but then we have to respect the reason behind it which only him knew well. Yes, the feelings of vice are very reasonable and expected for a true blooded kapamilya..But i also believe showtime continues to be what it has been, today and all the morrows to come. It has to live with or without direk bobette because it has a mission to fulfill. That is to give joy to one’s heart each day among others..It is not easy to find laughter in a day but to be with the showtime family helps to “make your day”. Bye sir bobett for now someday it may be a hello..
