Vico Sotto Says 300 Medical Volunteers In Pasig Will Get Pay Rise

VICO SOTTO – City Mayor Vico Sotto said healthcare aides in Pasig will receive an increase in their salary.

Politician Vico Sotto is the song of veteran actors Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes. He is one of the most admired public servants in the Philippines. He is now the mayor of Pasig City.

Lots of people admire him for his competence in leading the city. Last December, he ensured that the Christmas of his town folks will be merry. They allotted P204 million to give away 360,000 gift bags to the residents.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Vico Sotto announced that more than 300 medical volunteers in their city will receive an increase in their salary. He said they decided to give healthcare aids a pay hike as they are expected to double their efforts amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Mabigat ang katungkulan ng mga health center personnel natin, at madadagan pa ang responsibilidad nila. Kaya hindi sila dapat underpaid,” he wrote.

Vico Sotto said the duties of the healthcare workers are huge and their responsibilities were added due to the health crisis therefore they should not be underpaid. They increased their pay from PHP5,000 per month to PHP12,000.

“Ngayong taon, tinaasan natin ang sahod ng mga PASIG HEALTH AIDE mula sa P5,000 kada buwan hanggang 12,000,” he added.

Vico Sotto also said that the retired health aides will also receive P10,000 separation pay depending on their years of service in the city.

“Para naman sa mga magreretirong PHA, sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay makatatanggap sila ng “separation pay” na 10,000 sa bawat taon ng serbisyo,” he said.
