ABS-CBN: Some Kapamilya Shows Return To Free TV Starting Oct. 10

Some ABS-CBN Shows, Movies Return To Free TV

ABS-CBN – Media giant ABS-CBN announced its broadcast deal with Eddie Villanueva’s Zoe Broadcasting Network Inc.

Media giant ABS-CBN shutdown its free tv and radio broadcast last May 5 – a day after its franchise expired. For years, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte threatened to block the company’s franchise renewal.

Lawmakers allied with the chief executive eventually denied the tv network’s bid for a fresh 25-year franchise last July 10. The company was forced to retrenched thousands of its employees.

Villanueva is an influential evangelist and the founder of Jesus is Lord Church.

Based on a report from Inquirer, ABS-CBN sealed an alliance with Villanueva’s tv network. They will begin airing its shows and movies starting October 10 on the A2Z channel 11.
