Tricycle Driver Arrested In Buy-Bust Operation In Caloocan City
CALOOCAN CITY – A tricycle driver, 40 years of age, was recently arrested by anti-drug operatives in a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City.
The police conducted a sting operation early Wednesday in Brgy. 33 in the city, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.
Northern Police District-Drug Enforcement Unit chief Police Maj. Ramon Aquiatan Jr. said that the suspect, under the alias “Jeffrey” was caught after selling drugs to a poseur buyer in the said operation.
Retrieved from the suspect were 100 grams of suspected drugs which is worth at about P748,000.
The suspect is allegedly a “Top 1 drug personality” who operates in the said city, as well as in Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela.
Jeffrey admitted that he was using illegal drugs but denied that he was a drug pusher.
Based on the report, he will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165, or known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile in Imus, Cavite, a drug suspect was killed by operatives in a buy-bust operation in Imus town, Cavite.

The suspect fired at the cops after realizing that he was transacting to policemen. This resulted in a gunfight which ended in the suspect’s death. He was said to have a murder case.
