Efren “Bata” Reyes Can’t Hide Happiness As He Received Painting from Fan
“The Magician” in the field of billiard Efren “Bata” Reyes can’t hide his happiness after he received a painting from a big fan who is an artist.
The living legend in billiard Bata Reyes smiled when his fan artist John Marko David Dadulo personally gave him his artwork dedicated to him. According to News 5, during quarantine, John Marko worked on his artwork for two months before starting online classes.
“Bata pa lang ako idol na idol ko na siya, lumaki ako na may bilyaran sa likod ng bahay ng lolo’t lola ko. Lagi kong naririnig ang pangalan niya. Hanggang sa napanood ko siya one time sa tv. Bumilib ako sa mga parang magic na style niya sa billiards, mula noon hangang sa ngayon, idolo ko na siya,” said John Marko.
After he give the painting he made to his idol, the magician couldn’t his happiness then smiled. The simple smile from the billiard legend gives a great relieved to John Marko.
“Nakakawala po ng pagod at naramdaman ko po na sulit ‘yung pinagpuyatan kong artwork na para sa kanya,” he said.

Reyes was hailed as the greatest pool player of all time because of his “magic” when he plays billiard in local and international. There, he was dubbed as “The Magician” because of the unbelievable and impossible shots that lead him to win.
In 2019, Reyes represents the Philippines in SEA Games carom game. Although he didn’t go through finals and win the gold medal, he proves that he still got the magic despite old age.
He also admits that because of his age he is slowing down and being rusty because of his aching shoulder. The icon reportedly might venture into the coaching career.
