Manila Mayor Isko Moreno answered the question about his political plan in the 2022 elections.
From showbiz to politics, Yorme Isko has proven that he can do public service aside from acting. As the current mayor of the capital city of the Philippines, he has been receiving positive feedback.
As his popularity is in a nationwide scope, it is inevitable for many people to speculate that he might be planning to run for a higher position, perhaps on a national level next election.
Just recently, Mayor Isko Moreno was spotted together with Senator Manny Pacquiao. This ignited speculations that they will be running mates in 2022. However, that photo also might be interpreted as just a simple meeting between friends or just a coincidence.
In a previous report, Cong. Lito Atienza revealed that it has been a dream of the boxing champ to become the President of the Philippines. Pacquiao was recently proclaimed as the new president of PDP-Laban.
In line with this, during a recent interview on Tunay Na Buhay, the Manila Mayor answered the question if he will be running in the 2022 election. He said that he will be running but did not initially stated the position.
Then, he said “for Mayor” when host Pia Arcangel asked. The host asked again the Mayor if there is a chance that he will change his mind, Isko Moreno said, “only fools do no change their mind.”
Meanwhile, also in the interview, the actor-turned-politician shared the reason why his family life is not an open book to the public. He said that it is because his wife is a shy person.
