PDP-Laban New President Senator Manny Pacquiao to Stop Corruption
The new Philippine Democratic Party-People’s Power or PDP-Laban President Manny Pacquiao urge members to shun all forms of corruption.
Senator Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao now took over the position of being a President of the ruling party in the Philippines. It is the political party President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
On their fellowship night in Quezon City, Pacquiao will lead the fight against corruption in the Philippines. He described corruption as the “cancer that has tormented our government for generations.”
Aside from leading the party against corruption, Pacquiao said the PDP-Laban will also focus on pushing for peace and economic development and helping to set long-term goals for the country.
Pacquiao replaces Senator Aquilino Pimentel III as party president. Pimentel will serve as the party’s executive vice-chairman. House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco also take the oath for the position of Executive Vice President of the political party.
