Two Fishermen Rescued From Sinking Boat In Ternate, Cavite
SINKING BOAT IN TERNATE – Two fishermen were recently rescued from a sinking boat in the municipality of Ternate in Cavite.
The rescued fishermen were identified as Jayson Bolante, aged 32, and Jay Alab, aged 30, who are both residents of Ternate town, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.
The boat driven by the two fishermen was sinking after it collided with a huge wave at about 300 meters away from the bays of Caylabne.
Fortunately, operatives from the Philippine Coast Guard, who are aboard their speedboat, happened to be nearby and immediately rescued.
Lt. Michael John Encina, commander of the Philippine Coast Guard in Cavite said that the fishermen’s boat was too smal and fail to handle big waves from the sea, based on the report.
The fishermen, unharmed from the incident, were able to safely return home.
