Elizabeth Oropesa has this reaction to the controversial remark of Arnell Ignacio
Actor Arnell Ignacio has a controversial “mahina ang ulo” statement against fellow celebrities who are attacking the administration and this received a reaction from veteran actress Elizabeth Oropesa.
Elizabeth, known as La Oro in showbiz, is also a supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte. Her fellow DDS, Arnell, made a controversial remark when actress Angelica Panganiban posted on Twitter which appeared to be questioning the absence of the President amid the calamity.
Arnell fired back at Angelica and those celebrities who are anti-Duterte. He said that showbiz personalities are already being stereotyped as “mahina ang ulo” and the post of Angelica added to that perception. Actress G Tongi defended her fellow actress and scrutinized Arnell.
With this, actress Aiko Melendez, a friend and fellow DDS of Arnell Ignacio retaliated. Regarding this issue, based on the article from PEP, Elizabeth Oropesa was asked to react to this.
She said that this kind of issue is hard to touch since she is also in show business. However, she said that not all celebrities who are speaking out are “bobo” but she said, “kaya lang hindi mahilig mag-research, at gusto lamang ay parang makisali, mga kuda na hindi dapat.”
The veteran actress also stressed that it is fine to air one’s grievances and to conduct rally, as she has done it too, but defaming others is not her style.
“Napansin niyo? Wala akong sinasabi na kahit na ano kasi babalik naman sa iyo. ‘Tapos kung mayroon pa ring bagay na sinabi mo na hindi naman tama at hindi mo naman ni-research, dyuskupo, nakakahiya, hindi ba?” she added.
La Oro also agreed to what Arnell Ignacio said regarding the stereotyping. “Kaya napagsasabihan na bobo ang ibang mga artista kasi totoo naman,” the actress said.
With this, the veteran actress reminded her fellow celebrities to be careful of the things they say to avoid being called “bobo”.
