Some are criticizing the absence of the leader of the country in this calamity while some showed that they are not trusting the leadership of President Duterte.

There were even netizens who are anti-administration who commented on the tweet of Avengers star Mark Ruffalo, asking for prayers and donations for the Philippines, saying that the donations should not be addressed to the office of the President but instead to Vice President Leni Robredo’s office.

However, solid supporters of the Chief Executive defended him. With this, the past devastating effect of typhoon Yolanda was recalled and the alleged anomaly that the former Department of the interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas did.

Amid the contrasting opinions about the President amid typhoon Rolly, Senator Kiko Pangilinan also shared his thoughts. Based on the recent Twitter post of DWIZ Newscenter, the lawmaker is calling out to the public for unity.

He pointed out that it is not the time for word war and for blaming others. Pangilinan also said that it is now time to lend a helping hand to those who are in need.

“Sa ngayon sa halip na batikos sa pangulo mas mabuting pagtuunan ng oras at panahon kung paano natin matutulungan ang mga nasalanta ng bagyong quinta at rolly. Grabe ang naging pinsala kaya pagtulong sa kapwa ang mas mahalaga at dapat pagtuunan natin ng pansin,” the Senator said.
