Cavite Bet in Miss Universe PH 2020 Billie Hakenson Comes Out As ‘Bi’
MISS UNIVERSE PH 2020 – One of the candidates of the Miss Universe PH 2020 pageant said she’s proud to show to the world she’s part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Lesbian, Gay, Bise*ual, Transgender, Queer and/or Questioning, Inters*x, and As*xual and/or Ally (LGBTQIA+) has notably increased in recent years. A variety of stars like Paolo Ballesteros, Mark Bautista, Xander Ford, and Jake Zyrus are now out and proud.
Recently, one of the candidates of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant proudly showed to the world that she’s part of the LGBTQ community. She identifies herself as bise*ual.
In a closed-door interview with the MUP 2020 candidates, a clip which was uploaded on the video-sharing platform Youtube, Kimberly “Billie” Hakenson, who is representing Cavite province, was shown saying “I’m Billie Hakenson, I’m representing Cavite. I’m bisexual and I’m proud to be here.”

In a post on her Instagram account last October 17, Hakenson shared a photo of herself in a little black dress and said “I know who I am, I know what I can do. I will tell my story as truly as I can, and I will enjoy every bit of this journey as I build myself.”
She is one of the more than 40 candidates vying for the MUP crown. The much-awaited event will be on October 25 to be held in Baguio City. It will be aired on GMA-7 at 9 am.
Hakenson is among the favorite in the contest because of her eloquence and charisma. Surely, the members of the LGBTQ+ community were impressed after she confessed that she’s bi.
In a previous article, MUP revealed the designer for the swimsuit competition. They said the candidates will be wearing a creation of the world-renowned designer Furne Amato of Amato Couture.
