“Konti Lang Viewers” of TV Patrol and Karen Davila has this reply to the comment.
KAREN DAVILA – Seasoned news broadcaster Karen Davila hit back to a comment indicating few viewers of TV Patrol amid the shut down.
ABS-CBN network was shut down receiving 70 votes to junk their franchise renewal bid along with its affiliates like TV Plus and SKY Direct as ordered by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). Some Kapamilya stars have transferred already after receiving offers from other networks.
A massive retrenchment also happened as the company couldn’t sustain their thousands of employees and this is one of the most devastating aftermath of the closure – a massive job loss amid the pandemic. However, some have stayed but almost 90% were let go by the network.
Several of their programs still air online via various digital platforms and one of which that stayed is the network’s news program TV Patrol. One of the seasoned broadcasters Karen Davila went back to working in TV Patrol, her first time after 10 years of not being in the show as per previous article.
However, one netizen has commented to it as if indicating and implying something about the very few viewers of the news program. And this is her reply to this:
“Well the franchise was not renewed, but look at the amazing side—ABSCBN is still on air kahit papaano. Doing its best. I am still doing Headstart on ANC tom. Let us count our blessings. Malay natin – one day.”
Truly, the network is doing everything they can to still air some of their programs digitally and to continue their objective and that is to serve the Filipino people. Their artists are hopeful that they are going to soar high again and come back to air their programs for free for the people.
