ANGEL LOCSIN – The Kapamilya actress reacted to the post of fellow actress Nadine Lustre over the denial of ABS-CBN’s franchise bid.
Last July 10, the House Franchise Committee junked the franchise bid of the ABS-CBN Network with a 70-11 voting result. It’s more than two (2) months now that the broadcasting operation of the network is on off-air.
The National Telecommunications Office (NTC) has released a Cease and Desist Order against the Kapamilya network prompting it to go off-air. Before the voting held last July 10, at least twelve (12) hearings discussing the issues against the network took place.
The decision of the House gained different reactions from the public. Some are satisfied with the denial of the Kapamilya networ’s franchise bid while others are deeply concerned about the employees whose jobs are at risk amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Angel Locsin is one of the celebrities who are vocal about her support to ABS-CBN Network. She is pushing for the welfare of the employees who may lose their job in case the network won’t be back in operation.

A few days after the junking of its franchise bid, the management has confirmed that an employee retrenchment will take place. Some businesses of the network will be closed.
Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre is one of those who recently broken her silence on the denial of the ABS-CBN franchise bid. In a series of posts on her Instagram Story, she admitted that she is hurting too and assured that she is praying and helping amid the grief.
