John Masinsin Confirmed that Rizal Mayor Dan Masinsin Tested Positive for COVID-19
RIZAL MAYOR DAN MASINSIN – John Masinsin confirmed that his father tested positive for coronavirus or COVID-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines is undeniably persisting. In the past days, the Department of Health (DOH) records increases by at least 3,000 cases daily.
The total coronavirus cases recorded by DOH now is 169,213. Out of the said total number, the death toll is currently at 2,687 while the recoveries is at 112,861.
Currently, the wearing of a face mask and social distancing have become protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This disease exempts no one although the senior citizens are known to be more prone to contracting it.
Several government officials have also contracted the disease as they are always exposed to the public. Most of these officials are mayors of cities and municipalities.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Pililla, Rizal Mayor Dan Masinsin was recently added to the list of mayors who contracted COVID-19. His son, John Masinsin, confirmed that his father tested positive for coronavirus.
According to John, it was last August 10 when his father started showing symptoms of COVID-19. He took a swab test on August 15 and the result was released two (2) days after.
Based on the report, it was through an email that Rizal Mayor Dan Masinsin and his family was informed that he tested positive for COVID-19. His son stressed that he immediately went to isolation since he experienced symptoms of coronavirus.
According to John, Mayor Masinsin had fever on August 12 and then developed cough and shortness of breath. He is currently admitted in a private hospital and his “vital signs are good and everything is manageable according to his doctor”.
