TESDA Says Up to 50 Million Reusable Will Soon Be Available
TESDA – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will soon produce 50 million reusable cloth face mask.
Health officials said the best way to protect against the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) include washing your hands frequently with soap, social distancing, and wearing a face mask. People are now required to wear facemask in public. Those who fail to comply face arrest.
Your face mask should cover your nose to under your chin. Avoid touching it or pulling it out of your face. This protective device helps contain droplets from the people around you.
Based on a report from Philstar, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will soon distribute up to 50 million reusable cloth face masks to the public. The deputy director of the agency, Aniceto Bertiz said they have been commissioned to produce millions of face masks within the next 4 months. He said it is part of the government’s efforts to contain the spread of the virus.
“We’ve been tasked to mass-produce the face mask based on required quality standards and at a cost of no more than P15 each,” he said.
