Here’s Alessandra De Rossi defending the work of Director Joyce Bernal.

ALESSANDRA DE ROSSI – Award-winning actress Alessandra De Rossi defends work of Director Joyce Bernal during the president’s SONA 2020.

Last Monday, July 27, 2020, the fifth State Of The Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte happened which was held Batasang Pambansa. Due to the pandemic, only a handful of people has witness the address live where strict health and safety protocols were implemented.

Allowed inside were select government officials, lawmakers, guests, and support staff who all underwent two coronavirus tests before the event. Other parts of the SONA such as the national anthem, the opening prayer, and any other performances were pre-recorded.

For this year’s SONA, it has been directed by Filipino director Joyce Bernal, her third year, to do the work, in a row. “Pinoy na Pinoy”, that’s the flavor for the SONA 2020, simpler but complicated technically. However, on social media, many people expressed that they haven’t felt the “Pinoy na Pinoy” aspect.

They haven’t felt the vowed aspect of the event and many have expressed they were underwhelmed over the final result. Some have even described it as a total flop.

And Alessandra De Rossi, an actress who is close to the comedy film director, came in and defended her work. She lambasted one netizen and asked for the “receipt”. She the furthered, “Yan ang opening kahapon. Wala yata nakapanood. Ako nalang. Sayang eh. Pilipinas, wag nating sayangin ang ganda mo.”

In another post, she also shared the video shot by the film director capturing the beauty of the country.
