PTV Employee Confirms Positive for COVID-19 Disease

PTV EMPLOYEE – One of the employees of the state-run television network, PTV, tested positive for COVID-19.

The COVID-19 disease has shaken several healthcare systems across the globe. More than 200 countries and territories are now battling against this disease which is now a pandemic as its effect is far beyond what was expected of it.

This coronavirus disease was first recorded in China last December 2019. Starting January 2020, several other countries recorded their first cases of the disease.

One of the nations that confirmed cases of COVID-19 is the Philippines. It has already recorded 57,545 cases of the coronavirus disease.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), out of the total number, 1,603 patients of COVID-19 died of the disease. The total recoveries is at 20,459 as of this writing.

Several companies and government agencies have confirmed cases of coronavirus in one or some of their employees. Recently, a state-run TV network employee contracted the disease.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a PTV employee tested positive for COVID-19. According to the network’s management, it was last July 6 when their worker was confirmed positive for the coronavirus disease.

The network clarified that the said PTV employee who tested positive for COVID-19 has not visited their premises for several weeks now. Despite it, based on the report, the network will be testing all its employees for coronavirus.

Also, stricter health protocols will be implemented. The TV network will reduce their staffing at their main office for the disinfection procedures. It reminded its employees to implement all the health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
