KIM IDOL – Here are some things you might want to know about famous stand-up comedian Kim Idol and an update about his current condition now.
At 41 years old, comedian Kim Idol was found unconscious and unresponsive. He acted as one of the marshals of the Bureau of Quarantine at the Philippine Arena where the said location was turned into a quarantine facility amid the pandemic.
He is currently in critical condition after being rushed to Manila Central University Hospital in Caloocan City. The complication as per his mother is the “tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain”.
Who is Kim Idol? He is a famous comedian in the country from Sta. Ana, Manila and his real name is Michael Argente. Aside from being a host and a comedian, he is also a writer who did materials for comedy shows of other comedians such as Poohkwang, Da Spooftacular Showdown, and My Poohlish Heart. He was hailed as “Entertainer of the Year 2004”.
He has already performed in shows of Pops Fernandez and Sarah Geronimo. Kim has also performed in other countries like Vienna in Austria, Milano in Italy, Copenhagen in Denmark, Stockholm in Sweden, Munich in Germany, and to some countries in Asia. As an artist, he also had short appearances to numerous movies and shows. He is also known as an impersonator of Senator Leila De Lima.
In his Tunay na Buhay interview, he became as a stand-up comedian by accident after joining a beauty pageant in Puerto Galera. With his potential, he tried his luck and auditioned in a comedy bar but got rejected. But right then and there, he met Teri Onor and that’s when his life went a turn around.
