Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid shared this throwback photo with his fellow OPM icons and here’s the story behind it.
Ogie is one of the biggest names in the Philippine music scene. He is considered also as one of the pillars of Pinoy music in this generation. As a singer, he already popularized countless songs over the years.
When it comes to his songwriting stint, his songs are being immortalized even by other singers. Indeed, he deserves the recognition that is being given to him by this generation.
In his recent post on his Instagram account, Ogie shared a throwback photo that featured also his fellow OPM icons – Martin Nievera, Janno Gibbs, and Gary Valenciano.
Based on the caption that Ogie Alcasid wrote, the photo was taken on the set of his show Small Brothers with Janno. That was an offshoot of their Music Museum series with the same title.
“Direk @direkbert (Bert de Leon) conceptualized the show and it was I believe one of the early shows were the performances were all done live,” he added.
Ogie called Martin and Gary as their idols who was with them at that time. The singer-songwriter also shared that behind them were Agot Isidro, Olive Isidro, and Tina Isorena as their back-up singers.
He also shared that their band at that time was Neocolours who were so popular during the 90s. This throwback Instagram post of the Kapamilya singer received a bunch of hearts emojis from his followers.
