Sharon Cuneta Hopes VP Leni Robredo Will Run For President in 2022
SHARON CUNETA – Megastar Sharon Cuneta said she’s hoping Vice President Leni Robredo will run for president in 2022.
In a previous article, Megastar Sharon Cuneta shared Vice President Leni Robredo’s post with a striking caption. The post is about Robredo’s Bayanihan drive encourages Filipinos to donate their unused gadgets to poor students.
The singer-actress wrote, “a message mula sa kaisa-isang kumandidatong kinampanya ko maliban sa asawa kong si Kiko: si VP Leni Robredo.” It seems Robredo would get support from the veteran actress for the 2020 presidential poll.
In her recent Instagram Livestream, Sharon Cuneta said she’s hoping Leni Robredo to be the successor of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in 2022. She assured the online community that she’s still a friend of the 75-year-old chief executive despite his statements against her husband Sen. Francis Pangilinan.
“I’ve always been good, or at least I’ve tried separating politics from friendships and relationships… So ‘yung asawa ko minsan masasakit na ‘yung salita ng Pangulo against him kasi hinahayaan ko lang kasi iniisip ko they’re both politicians, although it would hurt me…”
“Pero since ang trato sa akin ng Pangulo parang anak niya, ang tawag niya pa sa akin, ‘the singer of my life,’ tapos mahal ko si Inday Sara kasi maliit pa ‘yan Sharonian na ‘yan,” she added.

Sharon Cuneta said she only knew people from the Liberal Party (LP) and she only endorsed Robredo during the 2016 poll because she knows that she and her late husband Jesse Robredo were honest politicians. The 54-year-old celebrity then made a big revelation. She said she’s hoping for Robredo to run for president in 2022.
“I don’t know what’s happened to our country. I hope VP Leni runs for president next time, dahil hindi na rin naman makakatakbo si Tatay next time, one term lang diba… napaka disente… Nakakatakot na kasi, ngayon lang ako naka experience ng ganito…”
“Pagkatapos ng term ni Pangulong Duterte, sana talaga manalo si VP Leni kung tumakbo siya. Baka sakaling bumalik ang pagka disente ng karamihan sa atin,” she added.
